Description	Dag allemaal! Ondertussen zijn een paar conclusies duidelijk. We hebben één plaats, Malacatos, gevonden waarvan zowel plaats als omgeving en zaal geschikt lijkt. Maar is er geen enkel huis, huur of koop, dat geen vochtprobleem heeft. Daarom gekeken naar de mogelijkheid van een stuk grond, een Lot of Lote zoals dat heet, en ook daarvan hebben we er één gevonden die aan alle 'vereisten' voldoet. Natuurlijk zijn er nu we zover zijn heel wat voor- en nadelen en (on)mogelijke risico's tegen elkaar af te wegen, dus we hebben echt nog geen idee of dit kan (en 'moet') lukken of niet, en zelfs als het mogelijk blijkt, of het ook een verstandige keus is. Dat weten we echt nog niet, en zal nog een paar weken duren voordat we daar bij onszelf (en anderen) meer duidelijkheid over hebben. Dus ook al is het nog zeer de vraag "hoe" en "of" het door kan gaan, deze laatste week gebruik ik om te kijken wat de mogelijkheden zijn ALS we dit zouden kunnen financieren en er voor kiezen om het te doen. Daarom gisteren, 21 april 2008, met Keith en Joffrey vanuit Loja er naar toe gereden om te kijken. Veel foto's en ook wat korte filmpjes gemaakt (de filmpjes staan hier niet bij) om alvast een idee te geven. Onderweg er naar toe heeft Keith de architect alvast duidelijk kunnen maken dat wij niet een droomhuis willen, maar dat wij 'zoveel' kamers nodig hebben wegens Karin's MCS, en dat het ons gaat om praktisch en wat we nodig hebben, meer niet. Ook heeft Karin geweldig werk gedaan in het maken van twee tekeningen die ze heeft gemaakt en gefotografeerd en op heeft kunnen sturen, zodat de architect alvast een goed idee heeft van wat in ons geval praktisch is en waar rekening mee te houden. Ik vertrek waarschijnlijk a.s. donderdagavond of een of twee dagen later weer naar Quito, maar dan zou de architekt alvast de basistekeningen klaar hebben. Ook kijk ik alvast rond i.v.m. de basisbenodigdheden voor het huis. In Loja is het witgoed het goedkoopst van heel Ecuador, dus een 'echt Amerikaanse' koelkast met apart vriesgedeelte (iets anders bestaat hier niet), kost ongeveer 450-550 dollar. Maar meubels (bed, bank, tafels en stoelen, kasten) zijn hier weer erg duur of erg slecht ('tweedehands' bestaat niet in Ecuador), dus alvast als orientatie ga ik in Quito misschien naar Ferrisariato en Pycca, die hebben het uitgebreidste assortiment (o.a. ook als alternatief een beetje tuinmeubelachtig of van metaal), en de vervoerskosten zijn heel laag. Maar het eerste is vanmiddag nog de internet mogelijkheden bekijken, want dat is natuurlijk voorwaarde nummer een voor een mogelijk verblijf van 8 maanden van het jaar. Tot zover weer! Nog een hele kleine week, en dan is het maandag weer terugvliegen.
